MEMBERSHIP

Our members help us in fulfilling our mission to preserve and share Florida's fishing and maritime heritage for future generations.

All Memberships Include: 

  • Advanced notice of upcoming programs, events, and exhibits through our monthly e-newsletter

  • Opportunity to check out books from our research library

  • A 20% discount at the museum gift store and on folk school

      classes every day

Membership Levels:

Statesman ($25) – Senior Individual Membership (65+)

  • Ability to reserve up to two seats for our seasonal lecture series (must reserve in advance)

  • Invitations for two to private member receptions and events

 

Crew ($30) – Individual Membership

  • Ability to reserve up to two seats for our seasonal lecture series (must reserve in advance)

  • Invitations for two to private member receptions and events

Captain ($100) – Family Membership

  • Ability to reserve up to four seats at our seasonal lecture series (must reserve in advance)

  • Invitations for four to private member receptions and events

  • Free or discounted admission to over 900 museums nationwide with the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) program and  the Council of American Maritime Museums (CAMM) reciprocal membership program

Admiral ($250) – Family Membership PLUS

  • Ability to reserve up to six seats at our seasonal lecture series (must reserve in advance)

  • Invitations for six to private member receptions and events

  • Free or discounted admission to over 900 museums nationwide with the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM) program and  the Council of American Maritime Museums (CAMM) reciprocal membership program

Patron Level

  • For those wishing to demonstrate a higher level of philanthropic support, we encourage you to make a donation at the Patron Level. Contact the museum at (941) 708-6120 for details.

Volunteers at the Florida Maritime Museum play a crucial role in keeping the museum running ship shape. Come join our voyage of guiding visitors through Florida’s fishing and maritime history.

 

The Florida Maritime Museum has a variety of volunteer opportunities including, but not limited to:

  • Greeter

  • Assisting with gardening/landscaping

  • Cleaning and maintenance

  • Educational Programming

  • Special Events

  • Collections
