Come celebrate the 2 year anniversary of the Folk School with this beginning acrylic painting class. The Burton Store was built in 1890 and was the first general store and Post Office of Cortez. It was moved to the museum’s property in 2006, thanks to the efforts of the Cortez Village. It was then renovated and reopened in 2018 as the home of the Folk School. Students will learn how to mix colors to reflect the natural lighting of the landscape that you are painting. This class is not limited to the beginner but JoAnn will be teaching beginning techniques
