Composting is the process of transforming food scraps and other natural materials into a rich soil amendment with the help of microbes and in conditions that have optimal air and moisture content. This workshop will offer foundation skills to begin composting at home and/or to be able to initiate small, simple, community-engaged composting projects. Everyone goes home with an adhesive label and kitchen sign to help you learn about the most optimal materials to put in the compost bin and all participants will be entered into a raffle to win a free 2-gal. kitchen food scrap collection container.
