About the event
Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing fish, which was originally used to help fisherman record the size of their catch. The practice slowly evolved into a beautiful artform, which led to the inspiration for this class. Paint your  design on a synthetic fish model and transfer your artwork onto muslin fabric. Your finished piece will be stamped and can be displayed in a frame, sewn  into a decorative pillow, or shown off in one of many creative ways! All materials will be provided. Wear clothes you don't mind getting a little messy- this is a hands-on class.
Instructor: Kelly Hunt
This class is mostly intended for adult learners, but older children who are able to successfully follow directions and safely complete the activity without disturbing the experience of other students are welcome. Please contact with any questions. Minors may NOT be left unattended.
