Discover the ancient, satisfying craft of transforming loose, fluffy wool into a sturdy and sculptural felted bowl. This immersive workshop is a perfect introduction to the core principles of wet felting, resulting in a beautiful and usable piece of art for your home.
What You'll Experience:
In this hands-on session, you'll be guided through the entire mesmerizing process:
Design & Layer: Choose from a vibrant palette of wool roving to create your unique color story. You'll learn how to strategically layer fibers for strength and visual effect.
The Magic of Felting: Using warm, soapy water and gentle, rhythmic friction, you'll agitate the wool fibers, causing them to interlock and shrink. This is the transformative heart of the process!
Shaping & Fulling: You'll learn how to carefully mold and shape your felt over a resist (form) to create the bowl's structure, then work it to a perfect, firm finish.
