Relax, create, and connect in a 3 hour artistic escape! This course explores the origins of Batik and guidance of the process. Participants will leave with a beautiful 14 x 14 design.
This class is intended for adults with exceptions for those who are 15+ and capable of working with hot wax.
Instructor Bio:
Lisa Lombardi is a passionate artist whose creativity is fueled by her love of working with her hands and exploring the world. Having traveled to more than 25 countries, she discovered the art of Batik in Indonesia, where she learned directly from local craftsmen and fell in love with the ancient process of painting with wax and dye.
Her journey with felting began years earlier during her Waldorf Teacher training, where she was introduced to needle felting as a way to create puppets for storytelling. From there, she expanded into wet felting and felting on felt, exploring the endless possibilities of wool as a medium.
