Week 5 & 6 of Phase II of the Re-Imagination

Our week 5 update has been delayed due to technical difficulties. We're excited to share our progress with you from the last two weeks though!

In week 5, Jennie finished cataloging over 500 objects!

She's pretty proud of her progress and so are we. To your right is a photo from our collection storage showing her boxes of progress.

We also cleared the education room and temporary exhibit space to prep for week 6 activities.

Week 6 has been full of fun! We are painting the education room and installing the temporary exhibit "Caught in the Storm: 100 Years of Florida Hurricanes."

This exhibit is the first temporary exhibit for the Florida Maritime Museum that has been translated almost completely into Spanish.

The exhibit will be offered through an outdoor, self-guided tour, and virtual tour online only starting Monday, August 24th until the museum re-opens January 5th, 2021.
