HOME SCHOOL DAYS
Bring your home school group to the museum!
In an effort to provide the best experience for our increasing homeschool community, the Florida Maritime Museum will be offering home school days*. *Only those who are home schooling their children will be able to attend.
FMM will hold three home school days each with its own theme (listed below).
Pre registration is required to ensure we will have enough materials for everyone.
Marine Archaeology Experience – Friday, February 7th 10AM – 12:30PM (max 25)
Students will participate in a fictional shipwreck just off Tampa Bay. We will learn how to locate the shipwreck, how to properly excavate (or not), and caring for the objects.
FMM Field Day – Friday, May 29th – 10AM – 12:30PM (max 60)
Students, and parents, will celebrate the end of a successful school year through a variety of hands on maritime related activities and crafts. Analyze a fish’s anatomy while making a print, or learn how much water a sponge absorbs through a relay race, and more!
