GIVING CHALLENGE 2018
The Friends of the Florida Maritime Museum is participating in The 2018 Giving Challenge – which is a 24 hour giving event from May 1 at noon to May 2 at noon. This event, presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation generates excitement in the community to give to their local non-profit organizations with the addition of a 1:1 match for unique donors up to $100.
This year the museum is encouraging its members, donors, volunteers and the public to recruit new donors to help grow our mission to preserve Florida’s fishing and maritime heritage.
We are challenging our supporters to recruit new donors - and to the one who can recruit the most donors (with a minimum recruitment of 10 people) - we are providing a gift basket filled with all kinds of goodies such as gift cards to local businesses, 2 free Folk School Classes, 2 tickets to any Manatee Performing Arts Production, as well as several locally made items! Recruited participants must enter who recruited them in the memo field of the donation.
